Cynthia Ann Cichorski, known professionally as Cindy Morgan, played the role of the sexy bombshell Lacey Underall in the hit ’80s comedy Caddyshack, starring opposite Chevy Chase, Billy Murray, and Rodney Dangerfield.
While “Caddyshack” is probably Morgan’s most memorable film, she also stared in other big films and TV shows, including “Tron,” “CHiPs,” “Falcon Crest,” “Bring ‘Em Back Alive,” “Matlock,” and “Hunter.” According to IMDB, most recently, she did voiceover work for the film “Face of the Trinity” in 2022.
Now comes the sad news that Morgan has died. Morgan’s emergency contact, Donna Ratliff Ballenger Cheatham, broke the news in a Facebook group writing, “I want to regretfully inform Cindy’s fans, that she has passed away. I got the call on New Years Eve night. I have been waiting for them to release a report and get more information. I’m sending info in to TMZ etc which should help spread the word of her passing. I will update as I can. May she fly with the angels and rest in peace.”
TMZ also shared the news of Morgan’s death with an update from the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office. According to the update, Morgan’s roommate was out of town on a trip over the holidays, and when she returned home, she knocked on Morgan’s door. When Morgan didn’t answer, she knew something might be wrong. She also noticed an odor coming from Morgan’s room, so she called 911.
