Actress Denise Dowse is best known for playing Vice Principal Yvonne Teasley on the show “Beverly Hills, 90210” and Judge Rebecca Damsen in “The Gaurdian.” Her other notable credits include “Insecure,” “Pleasantville,” “Ray,” “Bio-Dome” and “Requiem for a Dream.” Her most recent and final film role was in “A Cloud so High.”

Denise’s sister Tracey updated Denise’s Instagram account with a post sharing some sad news. Just one week ago, she shared that Denise was “in the hospital in a coma brought on by a virulent form of meningitis.” She added, “Her doctors do not know when she will come out of the coma as it was not medically induced.”

Tracey told Denise’s fans, “Thoughts, prayers and support are greatly appreciated.”

On August 13, 2022, Tracey posted another update about her sister. This update was sadly to announce her sister’s death.

Tracey started her post by thanking “friends and family for all of the love and prayers.” Then, she announced that her sister had passed away. She wrote, “It is with a very heavy heart that I inform everyone that my sister, Denise Dowse has gone forward to meet our family in eternal life.”

Tracey described her sister as “the most amazing sister, a consummate, illustrious actress, mentor and director.” She added, “She was my very best friend and final family member.”

Tracey asked for privacy and prayers and added that she would update her sister’s followers with Celebration of Life information once it was finalized.

She continued by expressing her gratitude for the outpouring of love her family has received. She wrote, “I am so grateful for all the calls, text messages, direct messages, and silent prayers for my sister. We could not have made it so gracefully and painlessly without all of the prayer warriors around the world.”

Denise was only 64 years old.
