We might be in February but it’s still cold and we still aren’t on beaches sipping cocktails – yet.
So, it looks like it’s more pajama days for us as we wait for the winter to roll on and luckily for us, Netflix has come up trumps – if you fancy a film which I can only describe as Oceans Eleven with coupons.
And it seems like a lot of people do as the film, which stars Kristen Bell and Vince Vaughn, is dominating the platform – and is getting rave reviews.
It’s not new film, however, and was released back in 2021, but it seems Queenpins is the people’s choice for a perfect February film.
Based on a true story of a real-life couponing scam, Connie Kaminski (Bell), a suburban housewife, and her friend JoJo (Kirby Howell-Baptiste) come up with a
‘scheme to scam millions from big conglomerates through coupons’.
However, their activities soon peak the interest of a loss prevention officer (Paul Walter Hauser) and a postal inspector (Vaughn) who plan to catch them.

As well as Vaughn and Bell, the film also stars singer Bebe Rexha, Joel McHale and Dayo Okeniyi.
Since the movie landed on Netflix, it’s been a huge hit and has even featured in the Netflix top 10 list in the US.
When the film originally launched it hadn’t been quite such a big success, however, only making around $1.2 million despite being predicted to earn over $20 million.
It also received a pretty mediocre score on Rotten Tomatoes – landing 48 percent on the Tomatometer.
Yet fans don’t care about the film’s financial flop as they have been singing its praises on social media.
Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), one user said: “Queenpins on Netflix was the movie I needed on my lazy day>>>>.”
Another added: “That movie Queenpins on Netflix is so good and it had hella familiar faces andddd it was inspired by true events.”
A third commented: “Found Queenpins on Netflix…. Casually watching and in pops Vince Vaughn. I swear to God if there was ever a low point in life I needed Vince Vaughn, it was now. It’s time for a VVOD weekend.”
“Wow y’all fake for not telling me Queenpins dropped on Netflix I love Kristen Bell bout to watch all now,” a fourth wrote.
While a fifth shared: “Queenpins on Netflix was a happy dose of comedic perfection.”
